Hello, my name is Dionnie TAKAHASHI. I graduated from University of Central England in Birmingham with a BA (HONS) in Multimedia Art in 2002. Though my major was animation, my portfolio consisted of mainly illustrations, paintings and designs.

Recently in January 2009, I was married to a really sweet Japanese guy. With a weak grasp of the language, I dauntlessly lugged my two feline buddies and moved our lives to Japan.

Japan, a paradise filled with all sort of art & craft goodies, will definitely inspired any artist to take on a new adventure and explore different ways in art-making. For one who is really comfortable with pencil and computer, I strive to be as versatile as possible so that my work will continue to evolve and diversify. Lately, I even got myself a new sewing machine! Well, to the unfamiliar world of needles and threads, here I come!

Want to know more about me? I do have a blog that mainly revolves around my fascination with everything Japanese. There, I showcased my art-related adventures & handiwork that are greatly influenced by the enchanting culture of “Nippon”. If you are interested, please drop by at http://blackcabbit.wordpress.com

"Bit by bit, the Blackcabbit crafts its nest of DIY handmade art and illustrates a kingdom of doodle critters to beautify the world she lives in."
Blackcabbit works exclusively in her smoke-free nest, with two inquisitive cats who are always clowning around and bringing tremendous joy to the artist and her family.
